Welcome to Doodlebug – a unique boutique featuring fun things for babies, toddlers, bigger kids, & moms. We strive to be your ....Favorite Boutique.... and appreciate your interest. Our business was conceived in January of 1998, and continues amid school, soccer, gymnastics, play dates, and lots of family time. My husband Blake, and children, twin 5 year olds, Ellie & Caroline, and 3 year old Brynn continue to be patient, even when dinner is late, or baths are put on hold, while I put the name on a shortall or burp cloth. I design most of the items that are sold, and then go on to personalize them myself. The opportunity to create something, that I would be proud for my girls to wear, is both fun and rewarding. Watch for new items that are continually added. Also, add your name to our mailing list and we will notify you when our semi-annual Doodlebug Show is scheduled. I hope that you like our collections!
Doodlebug Policies & FAQ's
Where is my order? How long does it take?
Most of the items on our website are handmade. The normal promise date is 2 weeks from date order placed, but you may receive them within the week, so don't be surprised! Things are usually done earlier, but unless you contact us with a special request, please expect approximately 2 weeks. During, or immediately after one of our shows, you can expect a 3 week delivery time. Also, summer turn around is 3 weeks.
I would like my order rushed. Is that possible?
Yes! Send us an email to megbassett@sbcglobal.net. Let us know the date your timing you need and we will confirm the estimated delivery date with additional expedited shipping fees, if applicable.
Additional Policies and FAQ
All knits are 100% cotton high quality garments manufactured by well known and respected labels. Onesies, newborn gowns & rompers are all made from the softest and most comfortable knit fabric.
We consider all of our things to run true to size, but suggest that you size up just so that your child can wear them a little longer. Ask us about a specific item and we will try to help you decide.

Since most of our items are hand embellished, and personalized special attention is required for care. For tough stains (which I have every time Ellie, Caroline or Brynn wears anything), spot treat with your favorite “spot treater”, turn inside out, WASH IN COLD WATER ON THE HANDWASH CYCLE, and lay flat or hang to dry. 100% cotton clothing ALWAYS gets a better result if you hang dry or lay flat to dry

Will you please Gift Wrap and Ship my purchase?
We hope that you were able to find the special gift you were looking for. We can send your purchase in our basic, free packaging at no charge, or can do a special wrap of your purchase, and the charge will be $4.00. There will be an option at checkout for a Special Gift Wrap, and for your enclosure card. If you choose a gift certificate, you can add an enclosure card to that purchase also.
Matching Outfits for Brother, Sister, & Baby?
If you have a special occasion that you need the perfect outfit for, let us know. We can do custom matching outfits for sizes Newborn to XL Youth. We have the perfect choices for Photographs, Family Gatherings, Parties, Camp, or just going to the Pool.
Do you have a Gift Certificates?
Yes you can select our Gift Certificate in the amount from $25.00 to $200.00 and we will make sure that it gets to your recipient with the enclosure message that you give to us.
I would like to register with Doodlebug for my upcoming shower. Do you have a baby registry?
Yes! Register with Doodlebug and we will make sure that you receive the exact personalized things that you have selected. Why worry about unwanted or duplicate gifts? Help your friends find the perfect gift by setting up a gift registry. They'll save time too by ordering on-line. Click on the “Create Registry” button below to start your registry. If you know the name of the baby to come, we will personalize and have all items ready for your shower, or to be given as a gifts in the hospital. If you don't know the sex and name, we will personalize after the baby is born. We only personalize new and never washed items that we have sold on the registry. This will be determined before check-out.

Customer Service
Orders:
Credit Cards will be charged at the time of checkout through PayPal. If you receive notice that an item is on back-order, you can choose to cancel the order or wait the additional time to complete the order. We will keep you posted on the status. Should you choose to cancel, you will be credited in the form of payment used to pay for the order originally.
Returns:
We are happy to exchange or return any non-personalized merchandise that you aren't satisfied with, as long as you contact us within 5 days of receiving the item. We will credit the same form of payment that the original charge was made. Shipping charges to you and return charges to us will not be credited.
We cannot offer returns on personalized items unless there is a mistake on our part. If we make the mistake (heaven forbid!!!) we will gladly offer you a replacement, or credit the same form of payment that you used when purchased. You must inform us within 5 days of receipt to get a credit, otherwise we will assume you are happy with your purchase.
Shipping:
Doodlebug ships merchandise throughout the United States via USPS Priority Mail. Most orders are $7.00. If an order is larger and will not fit in the basic Priority Box, shipping will be $12.00. You will be notified before your credit card is charged if the shipping charge will be more than the basic $7.00.
Payment & Tax Information:
We accept all Debit, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards as forms of payment via PayPal, a free and secure service for buyers. A PayPal account is not required to complete your payment transaction via PayPal.
We are required by law to collect a sales tax for residents of Texas. Taxes will be calculated at checkout for Texas residents at a rate of 8.25%.
